Vemble (the website at vemble.co and the Vemble mobile apps, together the "Service") is operated by Re. Universe Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore ("Vemble", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Vemble account — there is no exception to this minimum age, and no version of the Service is directed at or intended for anyone under 18. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the Service; accounts found to belong to a minor are removed on discovery. See our Child Safety Standards for how we enforce this and how to report a concern.
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account secure. We use Firebase Authentication to manage sign-in and require both email and phone verification before you can join or host events.
Vemble helps people organize and join real-world group activities ("Vembles"). Every Vemble requires a minimum number of confirmed participants — currently four, including the host — to happen; events that don't reach the minimum are automatically cancelled before the scheduled start time. Vemble does not process payments: any costs associated with an event (food, tickets, venue fees) are paid directly between attendees and the venue or each other. Vemble is not a party to those transactions.
Vemble has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content or conduct that violates these rules may be removed immediately, and responsible accounts may be suspended or permanently banned.
You agree not to use Vemble to:
We may remove content, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
You can report users, events, or messages that violate these Terms, and block other users at any time. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Blocking another user prevents direct messages, connection requests, and — where practical — joining each other's future events.
Vemble events happen in the real world, hosted by other users — not by Vemble. We don't supervise events or vet hosts and attendees beyond the verification described above. Use good judgment: meet in public venues, tell someone where you're going, and trust your instincts. Vemble is not liable for what happens at an event you attend.
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your account poses a risk to other users.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Vemble grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Vemble app on devices you own or control, solely for your own personal, non-commercial use. This license doesn't give you any ownership interest in the app. You may not copy (except for backup purposes), decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or create derivative works based on the app, and you may not use it to build a competing product or service. Vemble and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in the app, including all intellectual property rights.
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, this license is limited to a non-transferable license to use the app on an Apple-branded product that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's Usage Rules, and the following additional terms apply. This EULA is between you and Vemble only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation. Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated by the U.S. government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple has the right to enforce this EULA against you as a third-party beneficiary.
We may revoke this license or suspend your access to the app at any time, including for conduct that violates these Terms.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vemble is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, regardless of the country you access the Service from.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know before they take effect. Continuing to use Vemble after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
