These Location-Based Services Terms (the "Location Terms") set out the rights, duties and responsibilities between you and the provider of Vemble's location-based services, and how your personal location information is handled, under the Act on the Protection, Use, etc. of Location Information (위치정보의 보호 및 이용 등에 관한 법률, the "Location Information Act").
Vemble's location-based services are provided by Filmplace Korea Co., Ltd. (주식회사 필름플레이스코리아; CEO Lin Lincoln Junhong; business registration number 436-87-02208; 20 Hongsanjungang-ro, Suite 502, Wansan-gu, Jeonju, Jeonbuk State; +82 70-8058-9888; hello@vemble.co) ("we", "us"), the Korean affiliate of Re. Universe Pte. Ltd., which operates Vemble.
These Location Terms add to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Where they disagree about location information, these Location Terms apply.
You agree to these Location Terms when you allow Vemble to use your device's location, or when you tap Share location & join in Vemble Hunt. Location features are optional: everything else in Vemble works without them. Vemble Hunt is the one exception, because it cannot be played without sharing your location.
You can withdraw your agreement at any time, as described in section 7.
These services are free of charge.
We receive your location from your device's location services (GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile network) only after you give your device's operating system permission. You can withdraw that permission in your device settings at any time.
In Vemble Hunt we collect your position only during a round you joined, and only while the game screen is open.
We provide your personal location information to third parties only in Vemble Hunt, and only to the other Vemble members playing the same round, as described in section 3. We do not provide it to anyone else, and we never sell it.
We tell you each time it happens, inside the game: the "Ping!" card and the radio message "Hunters just saw where you were" at every ping; the notice "You're outside the circle. Hunters can see you live" while you are outside the play zone; and, when you join, that your team sees where you are during the round.
We also provide location information where a law requires it — for example, to an emergency rescue agency or the police making a lawful request under the Location Information Act.
You can, at any time:
To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@vemble.co or through Help & Support in the app. We respond without delay.
Vemble is only for people aged 18 and older. We do not provide location-based services to children under 14 or to anyone who needs a guardian's consent, and we do not knowingly collect their location information.
Our location information manager is responsible for protecting your location information and handling your questions and complaints about it:
If we breach articles 15 to 26 of the Location Information Act and you suffer damage as a result, you may claim compensation from us. We are not liable if we prove the damage was not caused by our intent or negligence.
We are not liable for a failure to provide the services caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, network or device failures, or a lack of GPS signal.
If you have a dispute with us about location information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If it is not resolved, you can apply for a decision to the Korea Communications Commission under article 28 of the Location Information Act, or for mediation to the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (www.kopico.go.kr, 1833-6972).
These Location Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Nothing in them limits any right you have under mandatory law.
If we change these Location Terms, we will post the new version on this page and tell you in the app at least 7 days before it takes effect, or at least 30 days before if the change is to your disadvantage. If you do not agree, you can withdraw your agreement under section 7.
These Location Terms take effect on 6 November 2026.
