About Vemble
Meeting people shouldn't feel like a job application.
Vemble started in Seoul with a simple frustration: moving to a new country is exciting, but making real friends here is hard. Dating apps aren't built for that, and expat group chats move too fast to keep up with. So we built something else.
Making friends used to happen to you.
School gave you classmates. University gave you clubs, shared tables and people whose paths crossed yours every day. Nobody had to plan it. Then work became routine, schedules stopped lining up, and the people you would have bumped into moved somewhere else.
That is not a personal failing, and it is not loneliness. It is just that adult life removed most of the settings where new friendships used to start. Vemble puts a few of them back — not by introducing you to a stranger, but by giving you something to go and do, with people who wanted to do it too.
Our mission
Get people off their phones and into the same room. Every Vemble is a real event — a dinner, a hike, a coffee run — that only happens once enough people actually commit to showing up.

No profile browsing, no matching algorithm to game. You join an activity, not a person.
Small enough to be real
We require at least a handful of confirmed people before an event locks in, so it's never just an empty room.

Foreigners figuring out Korea, and Koreans who want international friends — Vemble is built for both.

We never show anyone's age. Knowing it is what makes people switch to formal speech and start ranking each other — here, everyone talks as friends from the start.
