Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account or using Vemble (the website at vemble.co and the Vemble mobile apps, together the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Vemble account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the Service.
3. Your account
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account secure. We use Firebase Authentication to manage sign-in and require both email and phone verification before you can join or host events.
4. What Vemble is
Vemble helps people organize and join real-world group activities ("Vembles"). Every Vemble requires a minimum number of confirmed participants — currently four, including the host — to happen; events that don't reach the minimum are automatically cancelled before the scheduled start time. Vemble does not process payments: any costs associated with an event (food, tickets, venue fees) are paid directly between attendees and the venue or each other. Vemble is not a party to those transactions.
5. Community conduct
You agree not to use Vemble to:
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
- Solicit dating or sexual contact — Vemble is not a dating platform
- Post hate speech or engage in hate-motivated behavior
- Scam, defraud, or spam other users, including MLM or commercial recruitment
- Create fake events or impersonate another person
- Engage in or promote illegal activity
We may remove content, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
6. Reporting and safety
You can report users, events, or messages that violate these Terms, and block other users at any time. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Blocking another user prevents direct messages, connection requests, and — where practical — joining each other's future events.
7. Attend at your own risk
Vemble events happen in the real world, hosted by other users — not by Vemble. We don't supervise events or vet hosts and attendees beyond the verification described above. Use good judgment: meet in public venues, tell someone where you're going, and trust your instincts. Vemble is not liable for what happens at an event you attend.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your account poses a risk to other users.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vemble is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know before they take effect. Continuing to use Vemble after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
